![]() And not an option really when in a hurry! I have no particular wishes for PC components so never considered to assemble myself. In hindsight, that was a last warning before the permanent collapse! That happened a few weeks before as well, but was solved then after messing/reinserting of connectors and cards. My old (2010) Acer Aspire M3300 refused to POST (and boot) last Saturday morning. That's my opinion, and you don't have to agree.Actually your money is at stake.I wish you luck when you choose Of course I'm not sure about that, but because you're passionate/dx about satellite reception, then I would recommend you build yourself a computer with powerful resources:motherboard, processor, graphic card, ram. And that's because I've chosen my computer components thinking of those who had problems with these cards on company computers, like Dell or others, ready assembled.Even if these computers are famous brands, they don't have the flexibility that you build on your own.Īpparently, from what I've read so far, some have limitations even from the bios. And,if I'm not mistaken, that incompatibility in the message might be because of it? I've worked with a lot of dvb-s cards but I've never had any problems installing them. I'm sorry to hear you can't install the card, and I think that if our cards will not work on future PCs, that might be due more to other transmission technologies.Already the old dvb-s cards are no longer useful for these new transmissions (see S2X extension),not to mention when it comes to quantum computing. ![]()
